About us
Vidleaf turns YouTube and Bilibili captions into text you can read, search and cite for lectures, interviews and research notes.
The official Vidleaf website is vidleaf.app. It runs in your browser without an installation. Start with existing captions, then use summaries, translation or audio transcription when you need them.
Find the original words and keep the source
- Paste a public video link, check available captions and choose a language track.
- Search for a phrase, read its context and follow a timestamp to verify it in the original video.
- Select passages and export TXT, SRT or Markdown notes with their source.
Start with YouTube transcript search, explore video summaries, or follow a worked example of bilingual notes.
What the service provides
Reading existing captions, searching and exporting are free; guests have a daily limit on new reads. Transcription, speaker detection and AI features use separate allowances. Purchased processing shows an estimate and requires confirmation. See current allowances and plans and the Terms of Service for purchase and refund conditions.
Vidleaf is an independent tool, unaffiliated with YouTube, Google or Bilibili. Video rights remain with their owners. Captions and AI results can contain omissions or errors; check the original before quoting.
Personal tasks and reading history do not become public search pages. The public transcript library contains separately selected material. The Privacy Policy explains shared processing caches, external providers, retention and deletion.
Service updates and contact
