How to export Bilibili subtitles as SRT

Confirm that a readable caption track exists, then download selected sentences or the full track as SRT.

The material used in this example

We use Chen Luyu's first conversation with Yi Lijing, Slow Talk episode 1, uploaded by 陈鲁豫-慢谈 on Bilibili. The saved Chinese platform-generated track is ai-zh, with 3,494 captions. The video is approximately 123 minutes long.

The screenshots show an isolated replay of saved content in Vidleaf: first entering the link, then opening existing results. No new platform fetch, transcription or model call was made for those screenshots. They do not test current platform availability or recognition accuracy. The platform did not identify its automatic-caption model version.

1. Enter the video-page link

Open the Bilibili caption tool, paste the full link or BV ID and choose “Check existing subtitles”. You can also paste the link in the reader and choose “Load video”. Keep the p parameter for a multipart video.

Figure 1 only shows entering a link. Figures 2 and 3 use saved results. The screenshot session did not fetch captions from Bilibili again.

For a new link without saved results, the platform may return captions, confirm none are available, or fail because of permissions or the network. This cached example cannot replace a fresh check for your link.

2. Confirm the caption language and source

If several tracks are available, choose the Chinese automatic-caption track beside the title. These captions already existed on Bilibili; they are different from a new Vidleaf speech transcription. There is no need to transcribe audio when an existing caption track is readable.

The saved result identifies Chinese platform-generated captions. Track availability may change when the platform updates.

3. Select and download

Select the sentences you need and choose the selected SRT download. The full SRT control exports the entire current track without selecting every page. Only the first three captions are reproduced below.

The isolated browser downloaded both 3 selected captions and the full 3,494-caption track. The screenshot records the controls at that time; the current layout may differ.

English reading translation

  1. I think neither Yi Lijing nor I expected this.
  2. A year ago, this would have been unimaginable to me.
  3. I think, for that person…

The English text is a reading aid, separate from the unchanged Chinese SRT. The third caption is an incomplete sentence. The source spelling of the first name appears to be a recognition error; verify it in the video.

The selected file parsed as 3 entries; the privately retained full export parsed as 3,494 entries. Text matched the saved track row by row, with start and end times differing by no more than 1 millisecond. The full file was retained for validation and is not offered for download on this page.

To check your own SRT, open the downloaded file, confirm consecutive numbering and start/end timestamps, then compare several points against the video. SRT preserves captions and timing; it does not automatically correct recognition errors.

The Chinese excerpt retains the platform captions, including the possible name error “伊利静”. Machine captions do not prove that names or verbatim wording have been verified. Check the video before quoting, and do not silently rewrite the source during export.
